Introduction
Giffard House is a Victorian Guest House situated a short way from Winchester city centre. We have 13 comfortable rooms of varying sizes, many of which would be suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.

Pre-Arrival
• Bookings can be made by telephone or by email. Written confirmation available.
• A map and directions to Giffard House can be downloaded from our website.
• We are a ten minute walk from Winchester city centre. Should guests be unable to walk this distance due to disability, staff will be more than happy to arrange a taxi using a reliable taxi firm.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
• A free car park is located in the hotel grounds.
• Our car park is gravel and the drive and pathway leading to the front of the hotel is paved

Main Entrance & Reception
• Entrance to the front of Giffard House is accessed by 5 steps, assistance is always offered to people who have mobility difficulties. No ramp is available.
• Entrance to the back of Giffard house is through the car park, three small steps followed by a further two small steps, continuing across a flat, level patio and up a further four steps to the back door.
• Upon arrival all guests are given a tour of the house and the facilities.
• The main entrance and reception area are all on the ground floor.

Public Areas - Hall, Stairs, Landings
• All hallways, stairs and landings are carpeted and well lit.
• Giffard House has three floors. No lift is available.

Public Areas - Sitting room, lounges, lo
• The Sitting room, Dining room and Bar are all located on the ground floor.
• All bedrooms, dining room and the sitting room are carpeted. The bar is accessed through the sitting room, down two small steps. The bar floor is tiled.

Public WCs
• There is no Public WC on the ground floor. A Public WC is located on the first floor, up one flight of stairs.

Restaurant / Dining Room, Bar & Bar area
• A self service continental buffet is available at breakfast. Waitress service is standard for cooked breakfast and teas/coffee.
• Special dietary requirements are catered for. However it is advised that guests state any special dietary requirements at time of booking.
